Code to paste

How to add it

  1. Pick the place and the style.
  2. Copy the code.
  3. Paste it into your site as an HTML block. In WordPress, use the "Custom HTML" block.

What it shows

  • A countdown to totality or, outside the path, to the start of the partial eclipse.
  • Start, maximum and end times for that place, and how long total darkness lasts.
  • No cookies, no tracking, no ads. About 10 KB and it sends no data to any server.
  • After the eclipse it says the eclipse has passed, so you do not need to remove it.

Made for town councils, tourist offices, hotels, campsites, schools, astronomy clubs and local news sites.

FAQ

Is it free?

Yes, commercial sites included. We only ask you to keep the Zenitmap link that comes with the code.

Does it work on WordPress, Wix or Blogger?

Yes, on any page where you can paste HTML. If your site blocks scripts, the code still shows the text with the link.

Where do the times come from?

We calculate them from the eclipse’s Besselian elements published by F. Espenak (EclipseWise.com, NASA), for the coordinates of the chosen place.
